Mehnaz Sahibzada

Mehnaz Turner was born in Pakistan and raised in Los Angeles. She completed a BA in Religion at the University of Arizona and an MA in Religious Studies at UC Santa Barbara. Her work has appeared in publications such as SAMAR (South Asian Magazine of Action and Reflection) and The California Anthology of Poetry (2006). She writes poetry and fiction, and she currently teaches English at Moorpark High School in southern California. She lives with her husband, Mark, in Thousand Oaks.
