Ravi Shankar is Poet-in-Residence at Central Connecticut State University and the founding editor of the international online journal of the arts,
DrunkenBoat.com. His first book of poems, Instrumentality (Cherry Grove, 2004) was named a finalist for the 2005 Connecticut Book Awards. He is editing an anthology of Asian and Arab poetry, due out with W.W. Norton & Co. in 2007.
