Madhushree Ghosh
Madhushree Ghosh is a molecular biologist by profession and a South Asian fiction writer and a mixed-media artist by choice. Based in San Diego, her art work is heavily influenced by tribal art from India, specifically Worli from Maharastra, and Madhubani from Bihar that is then fused with Western art. Her art work (and photography) on canvas uses mirrors, beadwork, silk, metallic tones mixed with oil-based paint, has been exhibited and sold in the San Diego area at Del Mar Art Gallery, Book Works, Y-Me (Breast Cancer Association) as well as Aniata Co.
Her short stories, and features articles have appeared in Cerebration, Sulekha, The San Diego Jewish Times, Mantram Magazine, The Times of India as well as Nirvana Woman while her plays have been performed at the San Diego Actors Alliance Festival. Currently, she is working on her fourth novel, based in Delhi and San Diego, titled One Year and a Day. Madhushree can be reached at madhushree@yahoo.com
