Words from Mr.Gulati's Agent - "Based on his own observations and experiences growing up in India, Mr. Gulati is a reporter of the harsh realities of male domination. He is outspoken in his wish to serve as an inspiration to men around the world, to unite in the purpose of stopping one of the most detrimental afflictions on our societies - crimes against women. You can read his thoughts and see his related work in the collection titled, "The Apology"."
Some excerpts from the artist's statement...
"My life is worth what I do and say. The intention of my work lies in absorbing and sharing the essence of those events and experiences that bring realizations and inspire in me an urge to look at myself."
From "Apology", the series from which our featured images are taken...
"We men need to apologize for hurting, dominating and abusing our women in every possible way, since the first caveman dragged a woman by her hair.
Today, we attempt to explore the galaxies and contemplate travel at the speed of light, while our women are still not safe on the streets. And many, not even at home. The extra muscle in the male is a promise to protect, not a license to dominate or harm.
It is a lie to say that mankind is 'civilized' or 'evolved'.
The truth remains that one half of us is hurt by the other."

From the series, "The Lies"...
"Since the beginning of time, consciously or subconsciously, as individuals and as a society, we have been searching for the TRUTH.
We hear rare instances of individuals who have risen to attain the Truth. For most of us, the Truth remains elusive, and the quest remains a search.
While we passively or actively wait, we can at least hope to sense the realm of Truth, by first acknowledging the various forms of 'Lies' within and around us, and then by negating them.
It is far easier to see and know the Lies. Find and remove the Lies, and we are left with the Truth. There is a consistent light emerging from the centre of the paintings, which comes from beyond a web of stark lines.
The light is the symbol of the Truth we seek.
The web of lines is symbolic of the Lies that conceal, and yet unveil, the simple Truths that set us free."
